The Visual Dictionary is an attempt to catalog words in photographic images. By hitting "random" you can get an assortment of available images, or you browse, or search for specific words. There's also a Visual Twitter - a cool idea that doesn't seem to have quite taken off yet.
I will never part with this treasured object. Back cover: Bold Magazine was a monthly pocket-sized men's magazine that featured starlets on the cover (from Anita Ekberg to Bettie Page). Inside were pinup layouts and informative articles such as this one: I love how the article ends abruptly with an illustration that should probably go to a facing page, and the record club ad is aces!
Sarcastic calling cards: This one was handed out by my high school History teacher. I don't know where I got this but I love it! Austin Kleon is a writer, cartoonist, and designer living in Austin, Texas. Inspired by the work of Tom Phillips, Austin created a series of "Newspaper Blackout" poems. He has published a book of them, available on Amazon, and also sells prints of them through 20x200 for $20. Austin Kleon's website
